Peter Jablonski was born in Sweden to Polish and Swedish parents. He showed an early interest
in music when he started playing drums at the age of four and piano at six. He then went on to
play drums at the famous `Village Vanguard` club in New York when he was only nine and with
musicians such as Thad Jones and Buddy Rich.

The following year Peter gave his first piano
recital playing Mozart and Chopin. At age eleven he entered Malmo Music Academy studying
with Michal Wesolowski and a year later Peter made his debut with orchestra, playing Mozart`s
piano concerto in G, K.453. The year after graduating he toured and recorded Tchaikovsky`s 1stpiano concerto with the Polish Radio Orchestra in Krakow. At the age of seventeen Peter moved to London to study piano, conducting and composition as the youngest ever post-graduate at the Royal College of Music.

While still a student Peter was heard by Vladimir Ashkenazy, who was so impressed by him that he was invited to record his debut with Ashkenazy conducting the RPO.Two years later they went on to record Rachmaninov`s Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini and works by Shostakovich and Lutoslawski for Decca. This disc won the Edison Award for best concerto recording. They later recorded Scriabin`s piano concerto and Prometheus with the DSO Berlin. Other orchestral recordings include Tchaikovsky`s 2nd and 3rd piano concertos with the Philharmonia and Charles Dutoit.

Since his American debut at the Kennedy Centre in Washington in 1992 and his London debut at the Royal Festival Hall in 1993, Peter Jablonski has played with many of the worlds finest orchestras such as the DSO Berlin, NHK Tokyo, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Philadelphia, Kirov, BBC Symphony,

Chung. Highlights for 2006-07 include performances with NHK/Ashkenazy, La Scala/Chung and Leipzig Gewandhaus/Riccardo Chailly.

2 happy weeks of conducting in Wroclaw and Gdansk with the last movement of Prokofieff  Classical Symphony having to be encored at both places."To close the evening, the Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Peter Jablonski performed the First Symphony by Sergey Prokofiev, known as the “Classical”. The bravura Finale sounded excellent: precise, full of dedication, finesse and sense of humour; performed under the watchful eye of the dancing director, it put the audience in exuberant mood. Very warm round of applause invited the artists to encore"
